GROSSE PAUSE! With our GROSSE PAUSE! program, we’d like to offer families and groups of friends traveling together the opportunity to book a comfortable, smoke-free temporary home near the city center.
With a total area of approximately 90 square meters, “GROSSE PAUSE!” space for four people in two beds (one French bed measuring 140 x 200 cm and a slightly larger one with a sleeping surface of 160 x 200 cm). In addition, a travel crib for guests up to 3 years old can be set up here if needed.
What makes this apartment interesting is its layout, which offers guests the opportunity for private retreat. Specifically, this means: We’ve created two areas that can be separated from one another. In each of these two areas, in addition to the sleeping area, there is a dining area for up to four people, a couch, a TV, and a workspace. The kitchen, bathroom, and guest restroom are shared.

Entryway/Hallway:
A coat rack for your jackets and coats, a shelf for wet shoes, a place to sit, and a full-length mirror are all available to help you start your day in a good mood or unwind in the evening.
Guest Area 1:
Here we have a large multipurpose room where you can comfortably enjoy breakfast with up to four people, or relax on the couch with a footstool in the evening, watch TV (55" flat-screen), or read. And when your eyelids get too heavy, just sink into the comfortable bed (160 x 200 cm). We’ve also provided a closet here. This area is lockable, which means that if, for example, you go home for the weekend, you can rest assured that everything will remain just as you left it.
Kitchen:
Our kitchen, newly installed in 2021, has everything you need for cooking and dining: an induction stove with a glass range hood, a combination stove with a microwave, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator with a *** freezer compartment. In addition, you’ll find standard appliances such as a kettle, toaster, and coffee makers (filter and coffee pod). In addition to plenty of pots and pans, you’ll find a selection of storage containers, cutting boards, and cooking utensils. For those in a hurry, we’ve also set up a breakfast bar in our kitchen. Here, two people can enjoy their first coffee of the morning or “chop and chat” together while cooking in the evening. Placemats, dishes, silverware, and glasses for wine, water, juice, and wheat beer can be found in the cabinet next to the counter or on the shelf above the counter.
Bathroom:
In addition to the sink and a wall-mounted deep-flush toilet, the bathroom features a large rain shower (140 x 90 cm) with glass doors, a heated towel rack, a hair dryer, organic toiletries, and towels in various sizes.
Living Area 2:
Identical in square meters to Living Area 1, but here divided into two rooms and separated from the rest of the apartment by a glass door. The small bedroom features a queen-size bed (140 x 200 cm), two nightstands with reading lamps, and a closet. There’s a mirror in the hallway for a final check before starting your day. Next door, we’ve set up a small living room/office. Here, too, you can relax comfortably on a couch with an ottoman and watch TV (55" flat-screen), check your latest emails at your workspace (free Wi-Fi), or enjoy a meal with up to four people.
Outdoor area:
From spring through fall, we offer a small seating area with a parasol on the covered pergola for enjoying the outdoors.
Parking:
You’re welcome to store any bicycles you bring with you in our bike garage. We provide a free parking space next to the house for your car or motorcycle.
Guest restroom: Equipped with a sink and a wall-mounted toilet (due to structural constraints, the seat height is slightly lower than usual).
Cleaning Supplies:
We keep a broom, hand brush, dustpan, vacuum cleaner, and a selection of cleaning supplies and trash bags in our cleaning supply cabinet in the stairwell for our guests’ use. Please return everything to its original place after use so that other guests can access these items as needed. If anything is broken, please let us know so we can arrange for a replacement or repair as soon as possible. Thank you very much!
Washing Machine/Dryer Room:
For quick laundry in between stays, we have a washing machine and a dryer available for our guests to use free of charge in the boiler room. Please follow the operating instructions
